Varför just Ukraina? Jag har denna sommaren (2009) fått äran att tillbringa en hel del tid med gatubarn frånUkraina på ett läger här i sverige (Läger) . Förra året (2008)såg jag till att barnen och alla ledare fick var sin Sverige tröja som enrolig sak och för att kasta lite ljus över deras tillvåro när dom var på läger i Sverige.Jag fick veta i efterhand att barnen hade blivit så glada över denna ”simpla” gåva attdom knappt ville ta av sig den för att få den tvättad. Remembering the Victory Day
As we were telling our children of Victory Holiday, they couldn’t understand what the war is. On May 11th we went to watch the reproduction of the Great Patriotic War combatants. Everything looked like a real – warlike equipment, planes and soldiers of two armies: soviet and German, explosions, shots and wounded. Children had a chance to watch these events, to hear and see how their grandparents were at a war, to know and honor their history.

”Sofiivka” National Park welcomed our children
During spring holidays a group from Father’s House Center of Social Care attended one of the most beautiful parks in Ukraine – Sofiivka arboretum. To be pleased with the beauty of nature you don’t have to go too fare – 2 hours drive from Petrivske village and you are there. Huge lakes, swans, different flowers, fountains! What a great pleasure for children was to enjoy with beauty and freedom. They were running around the meadows, climbing the rocks, feeding swans were watching ships in the river and were thanking God for how wonderfully he has made it all! Nastya is adopted!!!
On April 13th the farewell party for Nastya from the ”Father’s House” Family Care Centre was organized. It’s already more than six years as Nastya is under care of Father’s House. Together with her we have been going through difficult times and hours of joy. In her life she has gone from life on the street to the rehabilitation at the ”Treasure Island” summer camp, then the Center of Social Care and the Center of Family Care. In the beginning of February the couple from USA came to Ukraine. It’s a Christian family, with 6 own children 4 biological – 3 girls and one boy – and two adopted boys…
